Strong increases for milk price Arla and DOC Kaas

The milk prices for the month of October are going up sharply at Arla and DOC Kaas. They are not yet moving in sync. This time, however, it is the farmers of the former DOC Kaas who are getting a little more. Last month it was the other way around. With the latest price increase, the regular Arla members in the Netherlands will still receive a higher base price. Their conventional milk price is going up by €2.16 to €44.72 per 100 kilos. This is the price at Dutch standard contents, an annual delivery of 1 million kilos, excluding VAT and after deduction of the contribution to ZuivelNL. The members of the former DOC Kaas are gaining €2.70, but they will still receive a base price of €43.71 per 100 kilos. The reason for the difference in payout is not explained. At the merger of Arla, DMK and DOC Kaas it was said that the milk price system of the companies cannot be the same for another year. With the current increase, Arla and DOC Kaas are again the first processors to reach their maximum milk price above €50 per 100 kilos, as the DCA Farmgate Milk Price Calculator shows. At FrieslandCampina, the milk price is not that high yet. Belgium In Belgium, the conventional milk price for Arla members goes up by €2.05 to €43.12 per 100 liters, while the maximum milk price goes to €47.38 per 100 liters. This means it is just behind FrieslandCampina in terms of base price. The organic milk price for the Netherlands goes up by €2.38 to €73.43 per 100 kilos, as the DCA Organic Farmgate Milkprice Calculator also shows.
