Diesel becoming more expensive due to lack of refining capacity

In the US, the diesel price on Friday rose above $6 per gallon for the first time ever. In the Netherlands too, the price rose sharply, although it did not yet exceed the recent peak from early April. The wars in both the Middle East and between Russia and Ukraine are increasing the shortage in the market for refined oil products.
