Leerdammer raises price, Cono milk price unchanged

Lactalis Leerdammer has increased the milk price for May, in line with the movement of other Dutch processors. For April, Cono Kaasmakers is keeping the payout price unchanged. The base milk price at Lactalis Leerdammer rises by €0.23 to €40.40 per 100 kilos. This is calculated using the standard Dutch contents and an annual supply of 1 million kilos. Including the maximum bonuses that can be earned, the payout price can rise to €43.60 per 100 kilos. The change is in line with that of FrieslandCampina and A-ware, which also opted for a modest increase for May. This takes place in a market context in which the dairy market is under pressure. The Scandinavian Arla chose a larger step, but kept the milk price unchanged the month before. Cono Kaasmakers Cono Kaasmakers is keeping the milk price for April unchanged at €40.14 per 100 kilos. In the DCA Farmgate Milkprice Calculator, the cheesemaker therefore drops out of the top 3. Including bonuses, the payout price can rise to a maximum of €46.14 per 100 kilos. The actual milk price, as Cono itself communicates it, comes out at €44.34. Cono has today announced that it is acquiring butter company Van de Koe from Huizen. This is a company focused on a premium segment without its own production. A large part of this is housed at Jacques' Kruidenboter, a company Cono acquired last summer. Cono does not disclose how much Van de Koe sells, but indicates that it concerns small volumes. The acquisition is seen as an addition to Cono's butter portfolio.
