Algeria's demand for Dutch seed potato strengthens

Algeria remains one of the keys markets for the Dutch seed exporters, with Dutch shipments increasing during the 2025/26 export season despite weaker overall Dutch seed potato exports. At the same time, Algeria is accelerating efforts to develop domestic seed production and reduce reliance on imported planting material. For Dutch seed suppliers, the latest figures point to continued demand in the short term, but a potentially changing market over the coming years.
