Zwanenberg's acquisition of Unox blocked by Dutch competition authority

Unox will not end up in the hands of Zwanenberg for the time being. The Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has blocked the takeover, because the regulator fears that Zwanenberg would otherwise gain too much market power in the markets for smoked sausages, cooking sausages and shelf-stable soups.
