Margins under pressure in US dairy farming

American dairy farmers are seeing their margins come under significant pressure this year. This is due to a combination of higher feed costs, higher energy and logistics costs and greater difficulties in exporting as a result of extra tariffs in response to President Trump's import restrictions.
