A-ware with top milk stream well above 50 euros

Dairy company A-ware is giving the milk price battle an extra push. The plus for October is between that of FrieslandCampina and Arla, but with the latest increase the price for the broad top milk stream goes above €51.60 per 100 kilos. Due to the increase in milk prices by €1.75, the base milk price comes to €44.12 per 100 kilos. As shown by the DCA Farmgate Milkprice Calculator, this is not the highest milk price for October. FrieslandCampina and Arla pay more, but that situation changes when looking at the milk streams with additional premiums. With a weighted average price (Actual Price) of €48.44 per 100 kilos, a considerable gap is already being opened up from the guaranteed price, although no final payment is included yet. The price for the Better For milk stream is again well above that, with a total of €51.62 per 100 kilos at an annual supply of 1 million kilos. That is still 90 cents above the price of Arla, which also has Better For as its top stream. Organic For organic milk, the increase is more limited, at €0.25 per 100 kilos. This results in a base price of €68.55 per 100 kilos. According to the DCA organic Farmgate Milkprice Calculator, this is not the highest milk price in this segment. However, A-ware also does not apply seasonal premiums and deductions, which means the regular milk price can work out quite differently.
