Return to Red Sea despite risks

Container freight rates have risen again, driven by sharp increases on the Transpacific trade. At the same time, geopolitical tensions are putting upward pressure on fuel costs and creating uncertainty on several key shipping routes. Despite renewed attacks in the Red Sea, however, more carriers are returning to the shorter route through the Suez Canal.
