DCA Benchmarks: Cheese market commentary week 31

AnalysisBy Santiago Morales HilariónPublished: Today 10:00 AM CET

The European cheese market showed a mixed performance in week 31 (July 30), with weaker prices across most foiled cheeses and parts of the Cheddar complex offset by gains in Mozzarella and broadly stable to firmer performance in Emmentaler. Market activity remained subdued as the holiday season continued, while earlier heatwave-related concerns eased and contributed to price corrections in several cheese categories. Despite recent declines in some segments, Mozzarella continued to stand out on relatively firmer demand, whereas buyers remained cautious on forward business, particularly in the Cheddar market.
