The balance in the grain market is fragile. In Western Europe, the weather is cooperating reasonably well so far, but the dry and warm weather may cause problems later. In the US, it is and remains very dry in a broad strip across the middle and south of the country. At the same time, disappointing Chinese purchases of American soybeans are keeping sentiment somewhat subdued. Meanwhile, Russia has ambitious export plans, from which Egypt wants to benefit as well.
