Butterfat weakness weighs on Pulse event 106

Pulse Event 106, the twenty-fifth auction of the 2025/26 season, was characterized by mostly weaker results than the previous GDT event, but a more mixed outcome than the last Pulse event. A common feature across both auctions was particularly weak sentiment in butterfat products.Compared to the previous Pulse event, NZ WMP Regular increased by 1.39% and rose by 0.69% relative to Contract 2 (C2) of GDT Event 402. A total of 1,452 tons was sold.WMP Instant increased by 1.76% versus the previous Pulse event and by 1.08% compared to C2 of GDT Event 402, with 48 tons sold.NZ SMP (Medium Heat) rose by 1.76% compared to the previous Pulse event but declined by 1.84% versus C2 of GDT Event 402. Sales totaled 457 tons.SMP from Arla recorded a strong increase of 8.00% compared to the previous Pulse event and rose by 1.72% versus C2 of GDT Event 402, with 100 tons sold.Unsalted butter declined by 3.87% compared to the previous Pulse event and by 1.63% relative to GDT Event 402. A total of 294 tons was sold.AMF Regular decreased by 11.94% versus the previous Pulse event and by 3.36% compared to GDT Event 402, with 32 tons sold.AMF Premium declined by 12.33% compared to the previous Pulse event and by 3.96% relative to GDT Event 402.
