Hochwald slightly down in DCA Farmgate Milk Price Calculator on February milk price

Hochwald Foods in Bolsward has slightly lowered the milk price for February more than the average for the month, resulting in a slight decline. However, the base price remains above average. The new milk price is €38.58 per 100 kilos, which is €1.50 less than the milk price for January. The average milk price decrease for February amounts to €1.07 per 100 kilos, as indicated by the DCA Farmgate Milk Price Calculator. Suppliers of Hochwald Foods can receive up to €42.28 per 100 kilos of milk. This applies at Dutch standard contents, excluding VAT and after deduction of the contribution for ZuivelNL. The highest basic milk price is firmly held by Cono Kaasmakers. There, members receive a base price of €40.14 per 100 kilos for February. This is 92 cents less than in January, but also €2.08 higher than the average base price for February. Hochwald follows Cono with a base price of €38.58. Hochwald Foods entered into a strategic partnership with FrieslandCampina over a year and a half ago for collaboration in the field of condensed milk. According to the plan, the production of sweetened condensed milk from FrieslandCampina will be relocated to Hochwald in Bolsward as of June 1, 2026. In return, FrieslandCampina will produce condensed milk in Leeuwarden for the factory in Bolsward. The location in Leeuwarden will be reduced in size, as also announced.
