VanDrie Group sees revenue grow again in 2024

The VanDrie Group had a great year in 2024. Both revenue and profit increased compared to the previous year. The revenue from the feed, meat, and dairy company rose by almost 9%, and the profit was 4.4% higher. The family business continues to deliver solid results, even though it often has to operate under challenging conditions. Just like the previous year, the profit (almost €156 million) is added to the general reserve. A dividend of €120 million will then be paid out from it, according to the annual report. In 2023, this was €90 million. In previous years, this has funded, among other things, a fund from which veal businesses were acquired. Other investments are also financed from it. The total revenue amounted to €3.47 billion, €281 million more than the previous year. The revenue actually decreased the previous year, but growth resumed in 2024. Net profit was €155.6 million, which is almost €20 million more than what was left over in 2023. The vast majority of VanDrie's revenue is earned in Europe, excluding the Netherlands. In 2023, this accounted for 71% of revenue; in 2024, it was nearly 70%. Revenue outside the EU saw a slight increase but remained around 17% of the total. The importance of the Dutch market increased from 12% to 13.2%. VanDrie did not make any very large acquisitions in 2024, but it was still active. It completed four full and one partial acquisition in the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. For this, the company allocated roughly €150 million. Additionally, it invested over €72 million in existing companies.
