Grain season 2024/25 is turning out differently for many European traders than expected. This week, the wheat export figures from the European Commission also do not show a recovery. More quietly, feverish discussions are being held in Brussels and Kiev about a new trade agreement with Ukraine. The temporary exemptions introduced by the EU shortly after the Russian invasion expire this week. A more permanent solution has been under negotiation for over half a year now, without success so far.
