Clarebout almost acquired by J.R. Simplot Company

Multiple Belgian media outlets report that Clarebout Potatoes is in advanced talks about an acquisition or alliance with the American industry counterpart J.R. Simplot. Clarebout was also in discussions with investment funds CVC Capital and Advent in the past half year. Concurrently, talks with Simplot were ongoing, and the deal is almost finalized, as reported by Belgian newspaper De Standaard.
