Onion price is on the rise, but trade remains tough

The signals in the onion market are contradictory. On the one hand, trade is difficult and growers and sorters struggle to come together. On the other hand, there is quite a bit of expectation in the market when we look at the deals being made for the future. Whether those expectations will be met is another question. It can still go either way if you draw parallels with previous years.
