A-ware keeps decrease in milk price under two euros

The milk prices of A-ware will decrease further in December. In the Netherlands, the decline in relation to the difficult situation on the dairy market is limited. In Belgium, the decline is happening somewhat faster. The milk price of A-ware in the Netherlands decreases this month by €1.95 to €42.41 per 100 kilos. Including the maximum achievable premiums linked to the Beter Voor program, the payment price can rise to €49.41 per 100 kilos. The prices are calculated based on the standard Dutch compositions and an annual delivery of 1 million kilos. Unlike previous years, A-ware will not distribute a December bonus this year. Milk price comparison In the milk price calculator A-ware ranks third in December, just below FrieslandCampina and Arla who also lowered their milk prices. In the maximum milk price comparison, A-ware, despite the decline, temporarily takes over the leading position from Arla. Throughout 2025, A-ware paid out an average milk price (excluding premiums) of €52.88 per 100 kilos, which is €0.01 more than FrieslandCampina. In cycling terms, almost a photo finish is needed to determine the minimal difference. The dairy market remains under pressure at the beginning of December. The raw material value of the milk is in many cases below €40 per 100 kilos, as indicated by data from DCA Market Intelligence. This means that further reductions in the milk price in the Netherlands in January are likely. Belgium The payment price for suppliers in Belgium and Southwest Netherlands decreases more significantly, by €3.08 to €40.68 per 100 kilos. This is calculated based on an annual delivery of 1.3 million kilos. Also, in the Belgian milk price calculator, A-ware must yield precedence to FrieslandCampina and Arla. Throughout 2025, A-ware did pay the best basic milk price in Belgium.
