Arla chooses December for largest reduction in 2025

Arla Foods, which has kept the milk price stable for a long time this year and only started to lower it in the last few months, chooses the December price to implement the largest reduction this year. And although the organic milk price remains the same across the company, this price also decreases in the Netherlands. However, this is due to a lower surcharge. The conventional members of Arla in the Netherlands are facing a price reduction of €4.14 per 100 kilos. As a result, their base price for an annual delivery of 1 million kilos decreases to €42.83 per 100 kilos. They will receive exactly 17 cents more than their colleagues at FrieslandCampina, as can also be seen in the Milk Price Calculator. The maximum milk price then amounts to €48.83 per 100 kilos. This is only available to participants in the Beter Voor program. They are €1.17 above the maximum milk price of FrieslandCampina. Year average On average over the whole year, the members of the Amersfoort cooperative received the most. They received a base price (advance) of €51.32 per 100 kilos, while the Arla members in the Netherlands received an advance of €49.97. This does not yet include the final payment, which at Arla consists of a guaranteed amount of about €2.00 per 100 kilos. At FrieslandCampina, this still needs to be determined. Belgium The Belgian members of Arla experienced a similar price drop as their Dutch counterparts, but in Belgium, the price is expressed in euros per liter and different standard contents are maintained. Specifically, the reduction for Belgium amounts to a decrease of €4.07 per liter, resulting in an advance for December of €41.52 per 100 liters, while a maximum of €45.78 per 100 liters can be received. Organic The organic milk price for December officially remains the same, but corrected for seasonal surcharges, Dutch members with an organic farm received €1.52 per 100 kilos less than in November. They receive €69.58 per 100 kilos. That is €2.05 less than their colleagues at FrieslandCampina.
