Argentina's dairy output and trade expands in 2025

Argentina’s milk production is known for its strong year-to-year fluctuations, with some periods showing differences of nearly two billion kilo compared to the previous year.The current year looks significantly better than 2024, with an increase of 10.54%, equivalent to 793 million kilo. Year-to-date export volumes in liquid milk equivalent (LME) were up by 7.09%, reaching approximately 104 million kilo in LME. In commodity terms, export tonnage increased by 6.18%, totaling 13,939 tons.The improvement in exports was supported by a combination of higher milk output and relatively stable milk production in the European Union. Argentina’s WMP exports to Algeria surged by 40% year to date, while SMP exports to Brazil rose by 26%.Despite the robust increase in milk output, export prices for Argentinian dairy products strengthened disproportionately.
