'Fonterra’s consumer civision sold to Lactalis

The consumer division of Fonterra has been definitively sold to Lactalis. This puts an end to many speculations surrounding the deal, in which FrieslandCampina was also frequently mentioned as a potential buyer. Lactalis pays over 3.8 billion New Zealand dollars, which is equivalent to €1.92 billion at the day's exchange rate. Fonterra's members generously share in the profits.
