Hochwald Foods keeps milk price high in October

Hochwald Foods Netherlands lowers the milk price for October, just like fellow processors. However, Hochwald opts for a modest reduction and thereby becomes the party with the highest base price in the Netherlands. According to the milk price calculator, the milk price of Hochwald for a yearly supply of 1 million kilos is €52.97 per 100 kilos. This is more than 70 cents higher than what the nearest competitor FrieslandCampina pays. With a maximum milk price of €56.67, it is only about 50 cents below the maximum achievable with the Dutch cooperative and about €2 below leader A-ware. Hochwald Foods seems to align a bit more with the German line, where dairy companies had recently maintained a predominantly positive tone. The company does, however, implement its own pricing policy in relation to its parent company Hochwald Foods in Germany, but remains connected and works closely with it. Clouds on the horizon CEO Detlev Latka of Hochwald in Germany is also the chairman of the Milchindustrieverband. As such, he was still very pleased last month looking back on the performance of the German dairy sector in the first 9 months of the year. Meanwhile, clouds have also gathered in Germany, but the price level in Germany remains quite high.
